# Trading journal

> See statistics, a P&L calendar and a list of every closed trade on your CopyFlock accounts, and add notes, ratings and tags to each trade.

The **Journal** page collects the closed trades from your connected accounts, leads and followers alike. It turns them into statistics, and gives you a place to write notes about each trade.

Trades are recorded while an account is connected to CopyFlock.

## Choose what to look at

At the top of the page, choose:

* **Account**: all accounts, or one account.
* **Period**: all time, the last 7, 30 or 90 days, or this year.
* **Currency**: if your accounts use more than one currency, choose which one to show.

## Statistics

| Statistic | What it means |
| - | - |
| **Net P\&L** | Total profit or loss after the fees your broker reports. |
| **Win rate** | The share of trades that made money. |
| **Profit factor** | Total profit from winners divided by total loss from losers. Above 1 means you made more than you lost. |
| **Expectancy** | Your average result per trade. |
| **Max drawdown** | The biggest fall from a high point to a low point in your closed-trade P\&L. |
| **Best and worst trade** | Your biggest winner and biggest loser. |
| **Longest streaks** | The most winning and losing trades in a row. |
| **Average hold** | How long you held trades on average. |

Some brokers don't report fees. When that happens, the journal shows **Fees not reported by the broker**, and P\&L doesn't include fees.

## Charts and breakdowns

* **P\&L calendar**: your result for each day of the month. Use the arrows to move between months.
* **Cumulative P\&L**: your running total, trade by trade.
* **Long vs short**: how your long and short trades compare.
* **By symbol**: results for your 10 most-traded symbols.
* **By weekday**: results by the day the trade closed.

## The trade list

The list at the bottom shows every closed trade. Filter it by **Symbol**, or by **Outcome**: winners, losers or breakeven.

Click a trade to see its details: net and gross P\&L, fees, side, contracts, duration, entry and exit prices, and when it opened and closed.

## Add notes to a trade

In a trade's details, you can record:

* **How did you feel?** Calm, confident, neutral, excited, anxious, fearful, greedy or frustrated.
* **Execution rating**: 1 to 5 stars.
* **Notes**: your setup, reason for entry and how you managed the trade.
* **Lesson learned**
* **Tags**, such as `breakout`, `news` or `a+ setup`.

Save the entry when you're done. You can change or delete it later.

<Note>
  If your subscription isn't active, you can still read your journal, but you can't change entries.
