Rithmic accounts connect with your Rithmic username, password and system. The system is the name you pick from a list when you log in to R|Trader Pro, such as Apex. These are the same details your prop firm or broker sent you, and the same ones you enter in R|Trader Pro or in NinjaTrader’s Rithmic connection.

Before you start

  • Find your Rithmic login details. Your firm emails them to you and tells you which system to choose.
  • Log in to R|Trader Pro once. New Rithmic logins have agreements to accept before they can connect. If you haven’t accepted them yet, log in to R|Trader Pro, accept them, then come back.

Connect the account

Start adding an account

In the dashboard, go to Accounts and click Add account. Choose Lead account or Follower account and click Continue.

Choose Rithmic

Select Rithmic.

Enter your details

Pick your System, then enter your Rithmic Username and Password. Click Connect Rithmic.

Pick the trading account

Choose the account you want to add. If your firm reports an auto-liquidation level, it’s shown next to the account.

Finish

For a follower, choose its copy settings. Then name the account and click Create account.

The System list in the dashboard shows every system you can choose. If your firm uses a system that isn’t listed, contact support.

Good to know

  • R|Trader Pro can stay open. You can keep watching or trading in R|Trader Pro or NinjaTrader while CopyFlock is connected.
  • One connection per login. If several of your accounts share one Rithmic login, CopyFlock uses a single connection for all of them. When you add another account from the same login, pick it from the list instead of connecting again.
  • Password changes. If your Rithmic password changes, the account disconnects. See Update your Rithmic password.
  • Why a password? Rithmic doesn’t offer a “Sign in with” option, so CopyFlock needs your username and password to connect. They are sent over an encrypted connection and used only to connect your account for copying.

Update your Rithmic password

You don’t need to remove your accounts when your Rithmic password changes.

Save the new password

Click Add account, choose Rithmic, and enter the same system and username with your new password. Click Connect Rithmic. This saves the new password for that login. You can then click Cancel. You don’t need to add the account again.

Restart the accounts on that login

Open each account that uses this login and click Restart. See Managing accounts.
If you see a message that the login is in use, contact support.

If the connection fails

Check the username, password and system. They must match exactly what you use in R|Trader Pro.
Log in to R|Trader Pro once, accept the agreements, then try again.
This login is already connected to CopyFlock. If its accounts are listed, pick the account from the list instead of connecting again.
Wait a minute, then try again.
Rithmic may be busy or down for maintenance. Try again in a moment.
